U2: Desire

December 20th, 2007

This one starts off a little loud with an Olandis Gary TD against the Gators.  It’s not the best mix by any stretch of the imagination.  When I give out CDs to my friends, I usually leave this one off it.  My best U2 track is “Streets with no name”.  This one isn’t in that one’s league.

Cake: Going the Distance

December 20th, 2007

I like this one a lot.  Cake’s “Going the Distance” combined with a few highlights from 2003.  Including…Sean Jones 93 yard fumble return and Odell Thurman’s 99 yard INT return.  It’s one of the last Mixes that I did.

Elvis: A little less conversation

December 20th, 2007

Pretty sure that this Elvis track includes a highlight from the 1996 Texas Tech game where Hines gets flipped upside down.  It’s good stuff.  Better track by Elvis and mix by me though. lol.

George Clinton: Atomic Dawg

December 20th, 2007

This is mostly Munson grunting and raving.  It’s not one of my best mixes, but the song is so damn good.  I had to try.

Rob Base: it takes 2

December 20th, 2007

You have to understand that I did this one seven years ago. It was one of my first tracks. I’m less lame now.  I think there are 2000 UT clips on it, and maybe a great quote from Spurrier.  I’m actually not listening to these before I upload them.  Is that lame or what?

James Brown: Dr. Feelgood

December 20th, 2007

I’ve only heard the original version of this song once on the radio. 96 Rock played it in the very early 90s as part of their Friday Weekend Whistle show.  I searched online for it for YEARS before finally finding it. I personally think it’s his best song to never become a hit record…and it’s one of his strongest / most rocking tracks.  I used a really random collection of Munson clips to make it.  I’ll go back to this description and update it later with the game info.

Stevie Ray Vaugh: Tightrope (Gator Hater Mix)

December 20th, 2007

SRV’s Tightrope mixed with Munson calls such as Applebee to Washington, 4th and Dumb and the ‘97 blowout win.

Pearl Jam: Rockin in the Free World

December 20th, 2007

This is the last Munson Mix that I did.  The song is Pearl Jam’s version of Rockin in the Free World (Live). The Munson clips are from the 2004 LSU game at home.  The song is a bit long, but that’s typical live Pearl Jam for you.

James Brown: Brother Gotta Rap

December 20th, 2007

This is from the JB Album “Live in Paris.”  If you don’t have it, you should get it.  It was recorded in 1971, and everything on it is James Brown at his absolute best.  This particular MP3 is Brother Gotta Rap and Ain’t it Funky Now.  It contains every major Larry Munson highlight from the 2002 season except the Sugar Bowl.

Other than U2 where the streets have no name, I think this is my best mix.

Theme from Shaft

December 20th, 2007

This one has several big plays by Scott Woerner against Clemson in 1980.  It also has Kevin Butler’s 60 yard kick against Clemson in ‘84, and a big play from the ‘90 Bama game.
